Things to keep in mind before you start planting your Indoor Herb Gardening Kit

1. Choose a suitable potting container:

Herbs are shallow-rooted plants, so it is best to choose a shallow pot for planting. Commonly used plant fiber pots and clay pots are more suitable as they are more breathable. Place granular stones at the bottom of the pot to enhance drainage and avoid clogging.

2. Placement of pot plants:

Herbs can grow in areas with diffused light, but they thrive if they are guaranteed 5-6 hours of refracted light per day. In summer, place them on a south-facing balcony. To avoid wilting and discoloration of the leaves, do not expose them to strong sunlight.

3. Soil:

Herbs grow well in well-drained, well-aerated, loose, and fertile soil. So keep the soil in good condition, not clumped and dried out.

4. Sowing:

Soak the seeds for 24 hours before sowing to improve germination.

5. Fertilizing:

Be careful to water your herbs and don’t overwater or go long periods of time without watering.
